Changemakers is a national foundation dedicated to transforming the values and practice of philanthropy in order to ensure a more equitable and accountable distribution of resources for creating positive social change. Through grantmaking, donor education, and other programs, Changemakers seeks to (1) build the capacity of organizations practicing and promoting community-based philanthropy, (2) expand the number of donors and dollars supporting social change, and (3) transform philanthropy by promoting the values and practices of community-based philanthropy in the larger philanthropic sector.
